Frontignac may sound a bit strange, but you may have had it a number of times without knowing! It is also known as ‘Muscat a petit grains’, meaning ‘muscat with little berries’, and is a member of that most noble family of grapes whose members include Riesling, Gewurztraminer and the Muscat and Muscadelle that make the famous fortified wines of Rutherglen. Frontignac shares the Muscat family’s beautifully perfumed, floral aromas and rewarding mouthfilling character. This is our sweet table white, with addictive musk, rosewater and lychee flavours, balanced by a sweep of cleansing acid at the finish and texture from a small amount of Chenin Blanc. Think a still version of those delicious little fizzy Moscatos out there at the moment and you will be bang on the money!
