Lying two hours north-west of Melbourne, the beautiful Pyrenees region is famous for its lively Chardonnay and most of all for its big, spicy reds. We were lucky enough to source this Shiraz from one of the region’s foremost producers and we are delighted with it. It does the Pyrenees’ reputation proud with its dense, inky magenta colour and nose of blood plums, blueberries and licorice. In the mouth it is chock-a-block with blackcurrant, blackberry pastilles and spicy oak, finishing with long, silky tannins.
