This is a multi-regional wine, put together by a show-judge winemaker whose purpose was to create a Chardonnay that was approachable for everybody. It showcases the things that people love about Chardy (the ripe, juicy stonefruit, well-balanced acidity) and none of the more unpleasant things (heavy-handed oak, alcoholic heat) that have no doubt contributed to the rise and rise of the ABC (Anything But Chardonnay) club! It is our easy-drinking, everyday white- very lightly oaked for a slightly more full-bodied character than an unoaked style, with juicy peach and melon in the mouth. It finishes cleanly and leaves you thinking of having another glass, perhaps out on the patio this time…
